Cross-cutting Activities
Mobilisation, partnerships, accountability and emergency response that enable all MAL programmes.
About the Program
Cross-cutting work holds MAL’s programmes together: community mobilisation, learning and accountability, partnerships, responsible resources, and humanitarian response when communities face crisis.
These activities ensure programmes are planned with communities and delivered with integrity.
What We Do
- Community mobilization, participatory needs assessments, planning, monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning.
- Humanitarian assistance, early recovery and resilience activities during drought, floods, conflict, disease outbreaks, displacement and other emergencies where MAL has capacity.
- Resource mobilization through grants, donations, fundraising, partnerships, lawful service income and social enterprise.
- Development of partnerships, coalitions, referral arrangements and networks.
- Recruitment of staff, consultants and volunteers required to implement approved programs.
- Acquisition, lease and responsible management of property, equipment and other assets necessary for MAL’s work.
Our Approach
We keep systems light, accountable and community-centred so delivery stays transparent and responsive under pressure.
