About the Program
MAL works with farming, pastoralist and agro-pastoralist communities across Nakuru County to strengthen food production while protecting the land and water systems households depend on.
This programme advances regenerative practice, indigenous knowledge and producer organisation so harvests, ecosystems and local food value chains can thrive together.
What We Do
- Promote agroecology, regenerative and climate-resilient agriculture, indigenous crops and seed systems, sustainable livestock production, fisheries, apiculture and diversified food production.
- Support soil and water conservation, rangeland management, biodiversity conservation, sustainable land management and restoration of degraded ecosystems.
- Strengthen producer groups, post-harvest management, value addition, food safety, market access and sustainable food value chains.
- Promote community knowledge on responsible management of forests, water, grazing resources and other natural resources.
